History
The old name of Yalıköy is known as "Podima". During the Ottoman period, the village hosted residents engaged in fishing and agriculture and was particularly known for its maritime activities during this period. In the Republican period, its name was changed to Yalıköy and today most of the local people continue to engage in fishing and beekeeping. -

You can reach Yalıköy in about an hour. For those who want to go by public transportation, you can come by bus line 404 departing from Çatalca. -
